Lonnie can be shy when he meets new people, and takes some time to warm up. Once he's feeling comfortable with you, you'll find this sensitive guy leaning into your lap asking for pets all over! He gains confidence while playing with other canine pals, so his ideal home would have a dog sibling (or 2!)! He would thrive in a quiet home that will give him ample time to decompress in the new environment and get used to all the new sounds and surroundings. He should be given time to build a bond with his new family members and gain trust before begining to meet new people. Having adopters that are able to read and respect his body language and understand when he's feeling uncomfortable will help set him up for success. He would benefit from meeting any potential canine siblings during his meets with potential human friends.
